Today’s metric is Adjusted Points Above Average Position (Adj Std Above Avg Pos). In the 2 previous posts, we discussed Adjusted Fantasy Points and Average Points Per Position. This metric compares the 2 and can be useful when comparing across positions. For example, if you’re in the mid to late first round, you might have the choice between Travis Kelce, Ezekiel Elliot, and Tyreek Hill. Although, you might be inclined to choose Elliot, Adjusted Points Above Average would suggest taking Kelce who posted 7.33 points above average TE points or Tyreek Hill whose adjusted points were 7.33 above the average WR, making either of these selections wisers than Elliot in the mid to late first round.
