Metric – Adjusted Fantasy Points – Adj FPPG

Fantasy sheets offers metrics and stats that aren’t available on other fantasy football sites. Today’s metric is Adjusted Fantasy Points (Adj FPPG). Adj FFPG takes into consideration players who didn’t play a full season, which is particularly useful for rookies like D’Andre Swift.

As you can see from the excerpt, Swift had less than 200 points, but he played in 13 games, and only started 4. So if you adjust his points per start/games played, he had almost 17 Adj FPPG in Standard Leagues and 22.33 Adj FPPG in PPR leagues, which are 5.69 and 8.34 above the average points scored at that position (Adj Std Above Avg Pos). This is particularly useful when comparing to one of his contemporaries, Antonio Gibson, who also had an abridged season, but only averaged 13.83 Adj FFPG, thus making Swift a slightly better choice (assuming all other factors are equal).

To calculate Adj FPPG is the total fantasy points scored/(Average of Games Played and Games Started).
